I have over 30 years of experience practicing exclusively in the family law area and have experienced just about every scenario one could imagine. I have been honored to serve on many boards during my tenure as an attorney. I have served on the Pima County Committee on Judicial Supervision, both the state and local boards of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Arizona Supreme Court Committee to Review the Child Support Guidelines and currently serve on the Family Law Executive Council of the State Bar of Arizona and the board of CODAC Health and Wellness.

I am one of the few attorneys in Tucson who have had the privilege of arguing a case before the United States Supreme Court. I won my case and you can listen to my oral arguments on the Supreme Court website. I am known as an aggressive fighter in court but I also have an excellent reputation for settling cases based on the most likely outcome in court. In most cases, having a knock-down-drag-out fight in court is a lose-lose situation. That’s why my experience and settlement skills can help you with your family law case. This group designs seminars for family law attorneys, reviews proposed laws in the area of family law, prepares newsletters and case law updates for family law attorneys and promotes improved skills and professionalism for family law attorneys.

I am a current member of the board and former Chairperson of this acclaimed public mental health and wellness provider in Pima County.

Arizona Supreme Court Child Support Guideline Review Committee – 2008-2010

I was appointed by the Arizona Supreme Court to serve on this group that reviewed and revised Arizona’s Child Support Guidelines. 

Child Support Committee of the Arizona State Legislature – 2002-2009

I was appointed by the Arizona State Legislature to serve on this group that developed and coordinated polices and strategies to improve the child support system.

President and Board Member – Arizona Association of Family and Conciliation Courts – 1994-2007

This group works to educate lawyers, judges and mental health providers on the latest research on children, divorce and custody.
